The winner of the Caregiver of the month in May at Madelia Health was Tasha Hollerich, RN. Tasha has worked at Madelia Health since 2018. She was nominated by coworker, Andrew Maurer, Systems Architect at Madelia Health.

Andrew stated, “I was impressed with Tasha’s compassion and professionalism when she was working with a patient’s family members that were upset. She was amazing!”

Tasha lives in Good Thunder with her husband, Todd and their two children, Taylor and Tyler. She was born in Florida, and moved to Minnesota when she was a baby. She graduated from Maple River High School and graduated from South Central Technical College with an RN degree and Dental Assistant degree. She loves spending time with her family and doing outside activities like kayaking, skiing, doing yard work and gardening.

When asked what she liked the most about her job at Madelia Health, Tasha said, “I love that I get to work in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care and on the Hospital floor. There is always something different each day.”

The winner of the Caregiver of the month in June at Madelia Health was Bailey Schwarz, RN. Bailey has worked at Madelia Health since January of 2020. She was nominated by coworker, Brianna Forstner, Designee in the Social Work Department at Madelia Health.

Brianna stated, “Bailey has been doing an awesome job on day shift as charge nurse! She keeps things moving. Awesome job, Bailey.”

Bailey grew up in Vernon Center on a family farm. She is the daughter of Kiyla and Dennis Schwarz, and has an older brother and a younger sister. Bailey graduated from Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School and earned degrees in Health Science and Nursing at Riverland Community College. Bailey enjoys boating, kayaking, four-wheeling, and helping to raise cattle. She also likes spending time with her dogs, family and friends.

When asked what she likes the most about working at Madelia Health, Baily stated, “I like getting to know my patients at a more personal level while providing care for them during their recovery. I also love learning and performing new skills to help better myself as a nurse.”

Madelia Health staff members are encouraged to recognize their co-workers with SHOUT-OUTS for doing exemplary work, going above and beyond for our patients and coworkers, or just being a positive person to work with. In May there were 57 SHOUT-OUTS, and in June there were 29 SHOUT-OUTS. All nominees receive a treat in recognition of their SHOUT-OUT. At the end of each month the names of the SHOUT-OUT recipients are put in a drawing for the Caregiver of the Month. The winner receives a gift card plus the honor of parking in the Caregiver of the Month parking spot. At the end of the year, the caregiver who has the most SHOUT-OUTS will be the Employee of the Year for Madelia Health.
