About Us

The Madelia Health Foundation (formerly Madelia Community Hospital Foundation) was established in 2004. At that time, the Madelia Community Hospital and Clinic made a $100,000 donation and the Foundation was incorporated as a 501(C)3 non-profit charitable organization that same year. Led by a volunteer Board of Directors and an Executive Director, the Foundation has raised over $2,000,000 helping us to remain the strong local provider of health care services for our region.

In 2010, the Foundation established a permanently restricted endowment fund which when fully funded, will generate income to ensure the Foundation’s continued ability to support the needs of Madelia Health.

Madelia Health Foundation has two major fundraisers which support various projects, equipment and initiatives. One, the Fall Gala, (held every other year) and the other, the Golf Outing held each year in early June. Although the Foundation has added several other giving opportunities and community events in recent years, these signature events are key to providing financial support for local healthcare.

  • To raise awareness of the Foundation and to provide an avenue for charitable contributions to Madelia Health.

  • To raise funds through public and private donations for the benefit of Madelia Health.

  • To create, foster and maintain an endowment fund.

  • To inform the general public that their donation will contribute in a meaningful way to the enhancement of patient care.

Madelia Ambulance Garage

Madelia Health Foundation provided funding to bring our Ambulance Service from Basic Life Support to Advanced Life Support.
