Surgery Department Manager – Full Time
Our expanding surgery department is looking for a strong nurse leader to join our team. This department has had significant growth in services and is planning for additional expansion in space and staff. The Surgical Department Manager oversees and manages all day-to-day operations of the department ensuring the delivery of quality, cost effective patient care. Responsibilities include establishing unit goals and objectives which support the organization’s mission, vision and values as well as participating in continuous quality improvement activities and educational experiences in support of departmental and divisional nursing philosophy.

Qualifications –

Required:

  • 5 years Operating Room experience, including pre/post and intra
  • Current Minnesota Registered Nurse Licensure (RN)
  • Basic Life Support Certified and Advanced Life Support Certified
  • Self-Motivated with strong leadership skills
  • Background study and pre-employment drug testing required

Preferred:

  • Previous Management Experience
  • Bachelor Science in Nursing (BSN)

Hours: Full time position Day/Evening/Night

Location: Madelia, MN

Responsibilities:

Performs analyses on biological specimens, e.g. blood and urine, to assist health care providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This position plays an important role in providing quality, proficient and professional laboratory services to diverse populations. The MT or MLT performs waived, moderate or high complexity testing, and performs quality control procedures within established parameters. This position also will be involved in laboratory specimen collection, safe and secure specimen handling, ensuring efficient workflow and providing results with integrity and timeliness. Supports and adheres to all laboratory policies and procedures. Must have excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask.

Required Qualifications –

Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution.
Experience: Preferred at least two years hospital lab experience, but willing to train the right candidate.
Certifications: ASCP or AMT
Background study and pre-employment drug testing also required.

Our growing surgery department is looking for an experienced surgical tech or scrub nurse to join our team. We are looking for a detail-oriented person with a desire to provide high quality care to our patients. Must have excellent communication skills. Part time position – no weekends, holidays or call!

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for handling the instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure.
  • Maintain the necessary knowledge and ability to ensure quality patient care during the operative procedure.
  • Responsible for procedures related to cleaning, sterilizing, and assembling of equipment, supplies and instruments for use in medical and surgical interventions.
  • Prepares and maintains the sterile operating field for the duration of each surgical procedure.
  • Assists the surgeon as needed during the intra-operative procedure.
  • Assists with room turnover in O.R. suites between cases.
  • Performs accurate instrument, sponge, needle, and blade count.
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • 2 years scrub or surgical tech experience
  • Current Minnesota Licensure/Certification (LPN or Surg Tech)
  • Basic Life Support Certified

Plans, develops, implements and oversees all fund-raising activities for the organization based on a formalized, approved fund development program and marketing strategy that assures adequate funding for services, programs and special projects. Job Summary:

The Laboratory Assistant will perform phlebotomy, specimen processing, waived testing, and assist with the clerical duties of the laboratory.

Radiology Technologist – Part Time Position, 48 hours per pay period

Part time Radiologic/CT Technologist for 3 day shifts per week and to be part of call rotation, typically one weekend per month and one night per week, including holidays.

Hours: Average three 8 hour shifts per week and one weekend per month and one evening call shift per week. Weekend call hours start at 5:30 p.m. on Friday until 7:30 a.m. Monday. Weeknight call is 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 a.m. Rotating holidays (one-two holidays per year)

Salary: Dependent upon experience

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of approved Radiologic Technology program
  • Experience: Two years of radiography experience required
  • Certifications: ARRT(R) certification required. Preferred ARRT(CT) certification.

Requirements:

  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification in the State of MN

Madelia Health is seeking a PRN or part-time Physical Therapist who is interested in providing care for patients across the lifespan in an outpatient, inpatient and home health care setting.

Ideal candidates will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient communication skills and a commitment to efficiency, quality of care and the best patient experience.

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate outpatient, inpatients and home health care patients and determine an appropriate plan of care for occupational therapy.
  • Conducts treatments using appropriate application of occupational therapy techniques, education and modalities.
  • Documents therapy plan, patient treatment, and patient progress.
  • Plans and teaches home programs regarding the use of equipment and procedures to be continued by the patient.
  • Communicates with physician and other health care staff about patients’ program and progress.
  • Attends patient care conferences and discharge planning meetings when appropriate.
  • Demonstrates initiative and skills in planning and organizing work.

Job Type: PRN or Part-time

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy school
  • Passing score on the National Board of Occupational Therapy Exam

The Digital Services Leader (DSL) is responsible for providing strategic and operational leadership, integration and implementation of digital or technology advanced systems and services across the health system. Guiding direction with planning, facilitating, and administration of the technology services and opportunities for Madelia Health.

The Digital Services Leader focus is towards practical patient/consumer focused solutions that streamline processes through use of technology solutions combined with continual process improvement to enhance both the patient/consumer experience and organizational business results. The DSL is responsible for ensuring that the enterprise’s business strategy is optimized, given current and emerging digital realities, opportunities and threats. This role requires a transformational leader capable of leading in a complex environment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Communications, Leadership, or certifications in CompTIA, CCNA, MSCA, and experience with Amplified Admin Level Credentialing.
  • 3 or more years of Information Management, Digital Services Leadership and/or Networking System experience.

Madelia Health is seeking a casual/prn Nurse Practitioner who is interested in providing emergency care services at our Madelia, MN Emergency Department. This NP will provide comprehensive emergency medical care encompassing everything from acute illnesses to complex health issues and traumas in patients of all ages. The NP will work independently as well as collaborate with lead Physicians and consulting with specialists as needed. Madelia Health has a Level 4 Trauma Designation and Acute Stroke Ready Designation. Ideal candidates will possess strong clinical knowledge, excellent patient communication skills and a commitment to efficiency, quality of care and the best patient experience.

Job Duties:

  • Providing and coordinating medical care for patients presenting to the emergency department and for urgent care services
  • Cross coverage of hospitalized patients required after hours, weekends and based on scheduling needs.
  • Documenting in the patient record
  • Comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, ordering, conducting and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescription of pharmacological agents and patient education.
  • Performs advanced technical procedures including laceration repair, I&D, lumbar puncture, airway stabilization etc.
  • Maintains accurate, legible, and confidential medical records.
  • Clearly communicate with all caregivers, patients and family to ensure safe, high-quality care is provided

Minimum Qualifications, Education and Experience:
