Position Summary

The Director of Human Resources serves as a strategic business partner and member of Madelia Health’s management team, providing leadership, direction, and oversight for all Human Resources functions.

Reporting directly to the President/CEO, this position is responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies that align with organizational goals while fostering an engaged, high-performing, and inclusive workplace culture.

The Director oversees Human Resources operations, including recruitment and retention, compensation and benefits, caregiver relations, organizational development, regulatory compliance, performance management, and professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of all Human Resources functions, programs, policies, and initiatives.
  • Develop and implement workforce strategies that support organizational goals, recruitment, retention, and caregiver engagement.
  • Oversee compensation and benefits programs in collaboration with the Finance Department to ensure competitive and cost-effective offerings.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Provide guidance and support to leadership regarding caregiver relations, performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.
  • Develop and support caregiver engagement, recognition, and retention programs that promote a positive workplace culture.
  • Oversee HR investigations, grievances, and employment-related concerns while maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Support leadership development, training, and organizational improvement initiatives.
  • Provide guidance regarding employment regulations, including FMLA, ADA, workers’ compensation, and other applicable laws.
  • Manage labor relations, including labor agreements, grievance procedures, negotiations, and mediation.
  • Develop and manage the Human Resources departmental budget.
  • Provide leadership and oversight to Human Resources staff, including provider recruitment and education functions.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and department managers to support organizational effectiveness and continuous improvement.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five years of experience in Human Resources or a related field.
  • Experience in needs assessment, program development, training, labor relations, and compensation and benefits analysis.
  • Strong leadership, supervisory, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information and complex employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong understanding of employment laws, regulations, and HR best practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of Human Resources management experience in a healthcare setting.
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification.

Position Summary

This position works collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and reliable results that support exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform laboratory testing, specimen processing, and analysis in accordance with established procedures.
  • Accurately document and report laboratory test results.
  • Follow quality control procedures and maintain accurate records of testing, calibrations, and equipment maintenance.
  • Identify and troubleshoot testing or equipment issues, taking appropriate corrective action when necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with laboratory safety standards, infection control practices, and regulatory requirements, including CLIA and TJC.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical staff and other departments to support continuity of patient care.
  • Assist with quality assurance, performance improvement, and laboratory inventory management.
  • Maintain patient confidentiality and accurate laboratory records.

Qualifications

Education:

Candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution.
  • Associate degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
  • Equivalent education or training that meets applicable laboratory personnel qualification requirements.

Experience:

  • Completion of an approved or accredited clinical laboratory training program OR documented laboratory training that meets applicable high-complexity testing requirements.
  • Ability to perform laboratory testing accurately while following established quality and safety standards.

Certification:

  • MLT or MLS certification.

  • Position: Surgical Technologist / Scrub Nurse
  • Location: Madelia, Minnesota

  • Wage Range: $25.16 – $36.75 per hour, based on experience

Qualifications

  • Current Minnesota Surgical Technologist certification or applicable nursing licensure.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of scrub or surgical technology experience preferred.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary surgical team.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain a sterile operating field for surgical procedures.
  • Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during surgery.
  • Assist surgeons during intraoperative procedures.
  • Perform accurate counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and blades.
  • Clean, sterilize, assemble, and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Assist with operating room setup and turnover between cases.
  • Stock and maintain sterile surgical supplies.
  • Support quality patient care and safety throughout the surgical experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform CT, portable X-rays, C-arm, DEXA, and diagnostic radiography (X-ray) exams.

  • Administer contrast materials under provider direction, following safety protocols.

  • Prepare, position, and educate patients to ensure comfort and quality imaging.

  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment with attention to detail and safety.

  • Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other caregivers to deliver the best possible care.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuing education opportunities.

What We’re Looking For

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.

  • Registered by the ARRT in Radiography (R).

  • ARRT certification in CT (CT) required — this is a must.

  • Minnesota State Radiologic Technologist license.

  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association.

  • Prior CT and X-ray hospital experience preferred — new graduates are encouraged to apply!

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

  • ARRT certification in Radiography (R) — required.

  • 1–2 years of CT and X-ray experience strongly preferred.
