Madelia Community Hospital Foundation Announces Deadline Extension for Healthcare Scholarships for 2020

The Madelia Community Hospital Foundation announces an extended deadline for Healthcare Scholarships for 2020. School closures, business restrictions, and other precautions due to COVID-19 make it harder for applicants to complete application. This deadline extension allows candidates ample time to complete their application packet. The following scholarships are available:
Pam Masters Nursing Scholarship
This new, renewable $1,000 scholarship is available for Madelia-area students who are interested in pursuing a degree in nursing. The scholarship places emphasis on non-traditional students considering a career change, current healthcare professionals seeking further education in their field, and high school seniors just beginning their healthcare education. Funding for this scholarship was provided through the generosity of Pam and Michael Masters.
Yoshiko Masters Memorial Scholarship
This $1,000 renewable scholarship is offered for Madelia-area students interested in pursuing a degree in radiology or lab science. The scholarship is available to non-traditional students as well as high school seniors. Funding for the scholarship was provided by a generous donation to the Foundation from Pam and Michael Masters, in memory of Yoshiko Masters, a former MCHC laboratory employee.
MCH Foundation Healthcare Scholarship – Madelia
This $500 renewable scholarship is available for Madelia High School seniors who are pursuing a career in healthcare. Students must be accepted in an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree program to be eligible for the scholarship.
MCH Foundation Healthcare Scholarship – Lake Crystal
This $500 renewable scholarship is available for Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School seniors who are pursuing a career in healthcare. Students must be accepted in an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree program to be eligible for the scholarship.
Applications packets are available online at www.mchospital.org/scholarships-announced, at the counselor’s office at Madelia High School or Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School, or at the MCHC admissions desk.
