Madelia Community Hospital Foundation 5K Run/1M Walk Results

The Madelia Community Hospital Foundation 5K Run/1M Walk took place on Saturday, July 13 th during Madelia Park Days. As in previous years, Anderson Race Management co-sponsored the event and provided the chipped race bibs, the start/finish line, snacks, and their race expertise. It was a beautiful morning for the 5K, and 96 people between the ages of 6 and 72 participated this year.

The female overall winner was Jodi Hruby, 33, Alexandria, SD, with a time of 23:30. The male overall winner was Emmet Anderson, 16, of Staples, with a time of 17:43.

Downs Food Group won the Most Participants Team trophy. Team SPEED from Fairmont and Wellcome won the Fastest Team trophy. Team members included: Connor Artner, Andrew Moeller, Hannah Neusch, Gavin Artner, Scott Morrow and Holly Neusch.

Female winner: Evelyn Helget, 8, of New Ulm, MN Time: 33:42
Male winner: Josiah DeMaris, 12, of Madelia, MN Time: 22:17

Age 13-19:
Female winner: Hannah Neusch, 16, Fairmont, MN Time: 24:27
Male winner: Emmet Anderson, 16, Staples, MN Time: 17:43 (Also 1st place Male overall winner.)

Age 20-29:
Female winner: Heather Lee, 24, Lake Crystal, MN Time: 28:07
Male winner: Ryan McCue, 21, Mountain Lake, MN Time: 21:35

Age 30-39:
Female winner: Jodi Hruby, 33, of Alexandria, SD Time: 23:30 (Also 1st Place Female overall winner.)
Male winner: Leon Weckwerth, 39, of Mankato, MN Time: 27:26

Age 40-49:
Female winner: Holly Neusch, 49, Fairmont, MN Time: 24:55;
Male winner: Michael Trushenski, 48, of Fairmont, MN Time: 23:59

Age 50-59:
Female winner: Tracy Sternitzke, 53, of Good Thunder, MN Time: 32:21;
Male winner: Kyle Blomgren, 55, of Butterfield, MN Time: 25:18

Age 60-69:
Female winner: Marlene Tappe, 61, of Mankato, MN Time: 35:39;
Male winner: Bill Strom, 60, of Mountain Lake, MN Time: 26:50
