Madelia Health Welcomes Jake Redden as new CEO
Madelia, Minn. – Madelia Health welcomes Jake Redden as their new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Redden has replaced Jeff Mengenhausen who left Madelia Health in August.
Redden has spent over 15 years overseeing healthcare operations, strategic management, quality, medical staff engagement, and performance improvement. Most recently he has been a Senior Executive Consultant for High Reliability Leaders, LLC in Sheridan, Wyoming, and teaching Health Administration courses remotely for both Rutgers University and the University of Maryland. Prior to that, he was the Vice President, Quality and Support Services for Huron Regional Medical Center in Huron, South Dakota, and Interim Executive Director for UP Health-Marquette in Marquette, Michigan.
Redden has a Doctorate of Health Science (DHSc) from A.T. Still University in Mesa, Arizona. He also has Master’s Degrees in both Health Care Administration (MHA) and Public Health (MPH) from Des Moines University in Des Moines, Iowa. Redden served in the U.S. Navy onboard a nuclear-powered naval combat vessel. He was the Medical Department Assistant Leader and Clinical Care Provider.
Redden grew up in Iowa, and is happy to be returning to his rural roots. He is married to Brandi and they have two children, Jennifer, 7, and Samantha, 4. They have recently moved to the Madelia community from New England, and are looking forward to getting acquainted with their new community.
