Foundation Offers Four Scholarships

The Madelia Community Hospital Foundation will be offering four scholarships to area students through the Madelia Community Hospital Foundation. More than $18,000 in scholarships have been awarded to Madelia and Lake Crystal area students since 2007.

Pam Masters Memorial Scholarship

Established in 2020 through the generosity of Mike and Pam Masters, this $1,000 renewable scholarship is open to Madelia area students interested in pursuing a career in nursing.  This scholarship will also place emphasis on non-traditional students considering a career change, current healthcare professionals seeking further education in their field, as well as high school seniors just beginning their healthcare education.

Yoshiko Masters Memorial Scholarship

This $1,000 renewable scholarship is offered for Madelia-area students interested in pursuing a degree in radiology or lab science. The scholarship is available to non-traditional students as well as high school seniors. Funding for the scholarship was provided by a generous donation to the Madelia Community Hospital Foundation from Pam and Michael Masters, in memory of Yoshiko Masters, a former MCHC laboratory employee.

MCH Foundation Healthcare Scholarship – Madelia

This $500 renewable scholarship is available for Madelia High School seniors who are pursuing a career in healthcare. Students must be accepted in an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree program to be eligible for the scholarship.

MCH Foundation Healthcare Scholarship – Lake Crystal

This $500 renewable scholarship is available for Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School seniors who are pursuing a career in healthcare. Students must be accepted in an accredited associate or bachelor’s degree program to be eligible for the scholarship.
