Food Trucks and Dunk Tank in Madelia Health Parking Lots for Hospital Week

Madelia Health would like to invite you to help us celebrate National Hospital Week May 9-15. National Hospital Week is an opportunity to highlight our hospitals, health systems and health care workers and the innovative ways they are supporting the needs of their community members, especially during this pandemic.

“We have a lot to celebrate, and we want to share that with the people in the communities that have supported us,” said Jeff Mengenhausen, CEO. “In the past year we have changed our name and logo, built a new Ambulance Base, opened the Lake Crystal Pharmacy and the Lake Crystal Clinic, and dealt with the COVID-19 pandemic.”

Three different food trucks will be in Madelia and Lake Crystal during Hospital Week. We hope that you can come and treat yourself! On Friday we will also be having a dunk tank in the Madelia Health parking lot so that you can dunk your favorite Madelian! Here is the schedule of what is planned for Hospital Week:

Wednesday, May 12

Diamond Lake Coffee will be serving coffee and hotdogs in the Madelia Health parking lot from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Diamond Lake serves coffees, hot and cold, teas, smoothies, and hot dogs.

Thursday, May 13

Diamond Lake Coffee will again be serving coffee and hotdogs in Madelia from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Youniverse Foodie Truck will be in Madelia from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Youniverse serves Belgian waffles with all the fixings.

Evan’s Eatery Food Truck will be in the Lake Crystal Clinic parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Evan’s serves specialty burgers and fries.

Friday, May 14

Diamond Lake Coffee will be serving coffee and hotdogs in Lake Crystal from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Evan’s Eatery Food Truck will be in the Madelia Health parking lot from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Dunk Tank:

You get three throws for just $5! All money raised will to go fund Caregiver Appreciation Team projects. Here is the schedule:

11 a.m. Karla Angus – Madelia Chamber

12 p.m. Josh Schoener – Madelia Health Maintenance

1 p.m.  Betty Spidahl – Madelia Health Nursing

2 p.m. Jeff Mengenhausen – Madelia Health CEO

3 p.m. Jodi Ulmen – Madelia Health Quality and Risk Management
