Dr. Sarah Dryden to Head Emergency Department

The Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) announced that they have hired Dr. Sarah Dryden as the Full-time Medical Director of the Emergency Department and Madelia Ambulance Service. In addition to her other duties, she will be educating staff on the care of trauma patients and exploring performance improvement in trauma, cardiac and stroke care.

Dr. Dryden earned her Bachelor of Science from Bethel University and her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine from Des Moines University. She is Board Certified in Family Medicine and completed her residency at the University of Minnesota Family Medicine, Mankato.

Prior to working at MCHC, Dr. Dryden worked through an emergency medicine staffing agency and provided emergency medical services at Redwood Area Hospital, International Falls, Mayo Clinic Health Systems and United Hospital District (Blue Earth). She lives in Mankato with her husband, Matthew, and their three children.
