Caregivers Give Back
Madelia, Minn. – The Employee Engagement Committee and caregivers at Madelia Health donated a combined $1,700 to two worthy local causes this holiday season. An $1,100 check was donated to Christmas for Children, a local program that provides food and gifts to Madelia-area families in need this holiday season. Jane Hanson and Pat Shaw, representatives from Trinity Lutheran Church, were happy to receive the check from several Madelia Health caregivers. In addition to the monetary donations, some of our caregivers also contributed by picking up Christmas for Children tags. They then purchased and wrapped gifts that will be delivered to children. This important local program is organized by the Madelia Ministerial Association.
The Student Pantry that is located at Madelia High School also received a donation of basic hygiene supplies valued at $600 from the Madelia Health caregivers. Thanks to Laura Sorenson, who represented the Student Pantry, for coordinating this donation.
Crystal Suiter, Recruitment and Marketing Specialist, lead this project at Madelia Health. “We are so proud of the caregivers that chose to make donations this holiday season, whether it was through Madelia Health or on their own. We hope that our gift can help ease the burden of those in need,” said Suiter.
