Caregiver of the Year

Madelia, Minn. – Madelia Health is happy to announce that our Caregiver of the Year for 2021 is Don Smith. He is the caregiver that received the most Shout-Outs from his fellow caregivers during the past year. Madelia Health staff members are encouraged to recognize their co-workers for doing exemplary work, going above and beyond for our patients and coworkers, or just being a positive person to work with. The Shout-Outs are posted on a large white board along with employee birthdays and work anniversaries for the month.

Don’s efforts have certainly not gone unnoticed, with over 20 Shout-Outs this year. In addition to a monthly prize, Don received a cash prize for being chosen as the Caregiver of the Year. Don has been working at Madelia Health in the Maintenance Department since September, 2020.
