MADELIA, MN – For the second year in a row, Madelia Health has been awarded a Top Workplace honor by The Star Tribune Workplaces. This list is based solely on employee feedback and measures several aspects of their experience including feeling respected and supported, enabled to grow, and empowered to execute. The award was announced at a July 16th all-caregiver event, where Madelia Health’s President and CEO, David Walz, emphasized the importance of the recognition.

“Receiving this national award is an incredible honor,” said Walz. “It signifies Madelia Health’s tremendous impact as a team, and our commitment to growth. Our caregiver’s insights and feedback are instrumental in shaping our organization and achieving our goals. Together, we will continue to make Madelia Health an even greater place to work.”

In addition to the Top Workplace award, Madelia Health announced an exciting expansion of services into nearby New Ulm, MN. The doors to Madelia Health’s new family medicine clinic are expected to open in October of 2025 at 2700 South Broadway Street, next to Gislason & Hunter LLP. Converting the building into a clinic has begun and will continue over the next few months.

“Madelia Health will offer high quality health care in New Ulm five days a week,” said Walz. “For years, we’ve been hearing feedback from patients and community members, requesting that we start a clinic in their town. Our successes in Madelia, Lake Crystal, Truman, and St. James have enabled us to expand services to yet another rural community.”

A primary care provider will be available at the New Ulm Clinic Monday through Friday providing care for patients of all ages. This includes care for acute illnesses and minor injuries, chronic disease and medication management, immunizations, well-child care, sports physicals, adult physicals and preventive health care.

“We are excited to expand our health care services to the City of New Ulm and look forward to getting to see patients at the Madelia Health New Ulm Clinic,” said Walz.
