Madelia Health Foundation Awards Scholarships to Future Health Care Leaders
Madelia, Minn. – The Madelia Health (MH) Foundation has awarded scholarships to three outstanding area students pursuing degrees in health care. These awards underscore the Foundation’s ongoing commitment to nurturing the next generation of health care professionals. All MH Foundation scholarships are renewable, providing multi-year support to local students.
The Pam Masters Nursing Scholarship was awarded to Charlotte Slama, who will attend the College of St. Benedict this fall. This $1,000 scholarship is given annually to individuals pursuing nursing education or advanced nursing degrees, made possible by a generous donation from Pam and Mike Masters.
Two Health Care Scholarships were also awarded:
• Madison Enter will attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha to pursue a career as a physician.
• Bobbie Krause will attend the University of South Dakota to study biology with the goal of becoming a dentist.
These $500 scholarships are awarded annually to area students pursuing careers in health care.
While there were no applicants this year for the Yoshiko Masters Scholarship in Radiologic Technology or Laboratory Science, the Foundation and the scholarship’s founders remain committed to supporting students in these vital fields.
“We look forward to seeing more individuals pursue careers in radiology and laboratory science in the future,” said Allie Kiecker, Executive Director. “These areas are essential to the health care system, and we are eager to support students who choose this path. This past spring, we hosted a tour for Madelia students in the radiology department at Madelia Health to spark interest in these careers.”
Madelia Health Foundation scholarships are made possible by generous donations from community members and devoted MH supporters. Offered annually, these scholarships reflect our commitment to supporting local health care and investing in the future of our youth.
A Heartfelt Thanks to Our Donors
