Madelia Health Closing Lake Crystal Pharmacy
MADELIA, MN – After nearly five years in the community, Madelia Health has announced that their Lake Crystal Pharmacy will close effective May 28th, 2025. Much like others in the industry, Madelia Health has not been immune to the challenges of the current pharmaceutical climate, including rising costs. Madelia Health has encouraged all impacted employees to apply for open positions within the health system and is working with patients to help manage the transition of their prescriptions elsewhere.
Balancing community service with financial stability is incredibly challenging, particularly in today’s healthcare environment. This decision was made after much deliberation, understanding that it directly impacts the lives of Madelia Health’s valued caregivers and patients. To support the long-term viability of Madelia Health, the organization must focus on core services to continue providing patient-centered care close to home.
