Position Summary
The Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician performs waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing on biological specimens such as blood and urine to assist providers in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role is essential in delivering accurate, timely, and high-quality laboratory services while maintaining compliance with laboratory policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, adaptable, and able to communicate effectively while multitasking in a collaborative healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities

Perform specimen processing, testing, and accurate reporting of results
-
Conduct waived, moderate, and high-complexity testing as authorized
-
Follow established laboratory procedures for specimen handling, testing, reporting, and documentation
-
Perform and document quality control, calibrations, maintenance, and proficiency testing
-
Identify testing or equipment issues and take corrective action or notify leadership promptly
-
Maintain compliance with CLIA, TJC, hospital policies, and safety standards
-
Perform necessary functions within the Laboratory Information System (LIS)
-
Monitor and manage laboratory inventory
-
Assist with troubleshooting and coordinate equipment service or repairs as needed
-
Participate in quality assurance, performance improvement, safety drills, and committees
-
Maintain clear communication with other departments to support continuity of care
-
Attend required workshops, in-services, and trainings
-
Support additional duties as assigned by the Laboratory Manager
Qualifications
Education
-
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology from an accredited institution
Experience
-
Minimum of 2 years of hospital laboratory experience preferred
Certification

ASCP or AMT certification required

This role plays an important part in providing nutritious, high-quality meals to our patients, Meals-On-Wheels recipients, and employees. Position Summary
Under the supervision of the Dietary Supervisor, the Dietary Cook prepares, seasons, and cooks food for patients, Meals-On-Wheels participants, and Madelia Health employees. This position supports daily meal preparation while maintaining food safety, sanitation, and quality standards.

Madelia Health is seeking a full-time Primary Care Physician (MD/DO)—board certified or board eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine—to join our compassionate and dedicated team at the Madelia Clinic. Madelia Health is seeking a Casual/PRN SLP to provide services for acute/swing bed patients and outpatients in need of speech therapy. This person will have the opportunity to develop and grow the position as appropriate.
Job Type: PRN
Hourly Wage: $24.69 – $44.52 (Based on Experience and Certifications)
Location: Madelia, MN
Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s Degree (Preferred)
- Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Certifications: Speech Therapy License (MN)
- Background study and pre-employment drug testing required.
Responsibilities:
- Makes clinical judgments based on data gathered in evaluation
- Generates a therapy diagnosis and plan of care
- Involves patient and family in establishing goals of treatment
- Designs, implements, and modifies individualized treatment plans in accordance with patient’s needs
- Coordinates, communicates, and documents per program, regulatory and professional standards
- Utilizes both standardized and informal testing to determine best treatment for patient
