Job Title: Clinic Manager

Position Summary

The Clinic Manager is responsible for the overall leadership, operational oversight, and strategic management of four primary care clinics, specialty clinic, and mental health clinic. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality, patient-centered care while maintaining compliance with healthcare regulations and optimizing clinic performance. The Clinic Manager collaborates with providers, staff, and leadership to foster a culture of excellence, efficiency, and innovation across all clinics.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Leadership and Management
  • Provide direct supervision and leadership to clinic staff.
  • Work collaboratively with the Chief Medical and Clinic Providers
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to align clinic operations with organizational goals.
  • Facilitate effective communication between clinic teams, providers, and leadership to ensure alignment on priorities and objectives.
  • Act as a liaison between clinics and other organizational departments.
  1. Operations Management
  • Oversee day-to-day clinic operations, ensuring efficient workflows, adequate staffing, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor and manage clinic schedules to maximize productivity and patient access.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including HIPAA, OSHA, and applicable state and federal laws.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess clinic performance and identify areas for improvement.
  1. Financial Oversight
  • Develop and manage clinic budgets, including revenue forecasting and expense control.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement strategies to meet or exceed financial goals.
  • Oversee billing and coding processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance profitability, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.
  1. Quality and Patient Care
  • Ensure clinics deliver high-quality care and meet or exceed patient satisfaction benchmarks.
  • Oversee implementation of quality improvement initiatives and compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Promote a patient-centered approach to care by addressing patient concerns and improving access to services.
  1. Staff Development and Retention
  • Recruit, hire, and retain qualified clinical and administrative staff.
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address performance issues effectively and professionally.
  1. Strategic Planning and Growth
  • Identify opportunities for clinic expansion, new services, or process enhancements.
  • Work with leadership to develop and implement growth strategies that align with organizational goals.
  • Analyze patient population data and community needs to tailor clinic services.

Qualifications

Education and Experience

  • Registered Nurse with Bachelor’s Degree required, (Master’s preferred).
  • Minimum of 3 years of progressive management experience in a Clinic setting.
  • Proven experience in primary care, specialty care, or mental health operations is preferred.

  • Knowledge of healthcare regulations, compliance, and best practices.

Job Title: Accounts Receivable Specialist

Position Summary

Madelia Health is seeking a dedicated Accounts Receivable Specialist to manage patient financial counseling, statements, price transparency, and collection activities. This role also provides support to the Health Information Management (HIM) and Billing departments as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable & Billing:

  • Oversee accounts receivable processes to ensure timely payment collections from insurance companies, government payers, and self-pay patients.
  • Assist patients in managing self-pay balances and facilitate payment agreements.
  • Provide reports to registration on upcoming patients with outstanding balances.
  • Monitor and analyze aging reports to address outstanding balances effectively.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve cash flow and reduce accounts receivable days.
  • Accurately post payments and adjustments to patient accounts.
  • Work collaboratively with the billing team to resolve complex billing issues and denials.
  • Respond to patient and insurance company inquiries regarding billing questions.

Health Information Management:

  • Assist with scanning and filing medical records.
  • Support the release of information to patients and insurance companies.
  • Assist with prior authorization processes.

Reporting:

  • Prepare and present regular reports on accounts receivable balances.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Finance, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in healthcare accounts receivable, billing, and coding required.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare billing, coding, and reimbursement processes.
  • Proficiency with healthcare revenue cycle management software (Cerner preferred).
  • Certification in medical coding (e.g., CPC, CCS) preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Working Conditions:

Overview:

Qualifications:

  • Education: Graduate of a certified Radiologic Technology Program.

Laboratory Assistant

Position Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Madelia Health. This individual will be responsible for performing phlebotomy, specimen processing, waived testing, and supporting clerical duties within the laboratory. As part of a dynamic team, you will play a key role in providing excellent patient care and supporting the laboratory in its daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Verify patient identification and ensure accuracy in specimen collection, including venipuncture, swabs, and more.
  • Perform waived testing as required.
  • Stock, rotate, and check inventory of laboratory supplies.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and help with clerical duties as needed.
  • Attend department meetings and contribute to laboratory projects.
  • Other duties as assigned by the laboratory management team.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 2 years of phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Certification in Phlebotomy is required.

    • Manual/finger dexterity: to administer medications, calibrate equipment, insert tubes, set up telemetry and IV pumps, utilized keyboard functions and document.
    • Vision: To read fine print, labels, documentation, test results.
    • Reaching: overhead reach to open cabinets, obtain wall suction, obtain items from top shelf.
    • Hearing: to auscultate (BP, heart sounds, lung sounds, bowel sounds), to answer phones, alarms, distress signals and overhead pages.

Position Summary:

  • The Nursing Assistant performs direct and indirect patient care under the supervision of a licensed nurse and within the scope of practice for a Nursing Assistant.
  • The Nursing Assistant works under the supervision of a Licensed Nurse in accordance with department and hospital policies and procedures while providing direct patient care.
  • The Nursing Assistant keeps the licensed nurse current regarding patient changes and needs as he/she is helping care for the patient.
  • The Nursing Assistant completes tasks as required as trained and competent.

Qualifications:

  • Must be a graduate of an approved educational program Certified Nursing Assistant
  • Must be a Registered Certified Nursing Assistant in good standing with the Minnesota Department of Health
  • Must have at time of hire or within 6 months after: BLS
  • Background study and pre-employment drug testing also required.

Schedule: Full Time or Part Time

Hours/Pay Period: 0.80 FTE (64 hours), 0.70 FTE (56 hours), or 0.60 FTE (48 hours).

Schedule Details: Rotating shifts between 3pm-11pm and 11pm-7am or straight overnights.

Weekend Schedule: Every third weekend and Holiday.

Job Specifications:

Physical Considerations:

  • Standing: to set up equipment, deliver patient care
  • Walking: to walk patients, respond to emergencies, answer phones and alarms, gather equipment, and move about unit
  • Squatting and kneeling: to plug equipment in, provide CPR, empty drainage bags, assist patients from floor, and transfer patients from chairs to bed
  • Pushing/pulling: to move patients in wheelchairs, crash carts, room furniture, patient beds, repositions patients, and open drawers
  • Turning, repositioning and getting patients out of bed
  • Lifting: to assist in transferring adult patients, move equipment into rooms
  • Manual/finger dexterity: to provide those cares to the patient that would utilize fine motor skills, utilize keyboard functions and document
  • Vision: to read fine print, labels, documentation, test results
  • Reaching: overhead reach to open cabinets, obtain wall suction, obtain items from top shelf
  • Hearing: to auscultate BP, to answer phones, alarms, distress signals and overhead pages
  • Sitting: to chart
  • Speaking: to communicate with others in English

  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Must be flexible, have problem-solving skills, prioritize, and demonstrate healthy coping mechanisms.
