Keep Care Close

A $5 million campaign to strengthen financial stability and ensure access to essential healthcare close to home.

For more than 100 years, Madelia Health has cared for families across our region. Today, rising costs, workforce shortages, and reimbursement pressures threaten access to the essential services our community relies on.

This campaign brings our community together to protect local healthcare—strengthening stability, supporting critical services, and ensuring care remains accessible close to home for today and for generations to come.

“Accidents and injuries happen every day, all around the world. I am so thankful to have Madelia Health right here in our community when an accident unfortunately occurred within our family and needed care. The staff in the Emergency Department were quick to action, knowledgeable and so kind. They went over and above to make our four year old daughter feel at ease in a scary situation, which helped calm mom and dad as well. From our first interaction at the registration desk, to the nursing staff and provider, and then the EMS staff providing a safe and comfortable ride to the next level of care, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts!”

“I wanted to take just a second to say thank you so very much to the Madelia Health team. By all accounts, a recent orthopedic surgery went very well and thanks to the Madelia Health team, I did it here in Madelia. One of the challenges we face as a community is helping people understand that we may be smaller and rural focused, but we still provide “state-of-the-art” capability. I would argue that no one embodies that concept better than Madelia Health. I received A+ surgical care and without having to go through the Mankato/Rochester/Metro bureaucracy. I truly hope the team at Madelia Health fully realizes how much that is appreciated.”

“I went to Madelia Hospital for swing bed following open heart surgery. This hospital and entire staff is excellent in action!!”

“Megan Gossman is more like family than a provider and truly cares about every patient she has. Megan does everything she can to make you feel comfortable and secure in her knowledge and abilities. There’s not enough I could say to truly thank her for everything she’s done for me and my family.”

“I want to make sure the surgical team at Madelia Health knows how truly appreciated they are! When my daughter had her tonsils and adenoids removed, the nurses and CRNA were absolutely amazing. They made sure she was comfortable, explained what was going to happen, and reassured her that she was in good hands. After surgery, they stayed by her side with compassion, patience, and comfort. They truly made our experience one we will always remember. As a mother, it warms my heart to meet genuine people who take pride in their work and love what they do. Thank you!”

“I had a fantastic experience with Madelia Health in Truman. Upon arrival the receptionist was very kind and helpful. The nursing team was kind and asked questions about what I was needing, then relayed all the information. Carolyn Drevlow was the provider I saw. She was so thorough and listened to all my concerns. She walked through all the medications I take and help make a plan for changes needed. I felt so at ease with the whole process. I highly recommend you give them a try!”

“I received awesome care while at Madelia Health. The CEO actually rounded in on me to see how I was doing. I have never, at any locations, been asked how I was doing by the CEO. Very impressive! I loved the small time hospital and it felt like home! Great meals and very clean.”

“I was a patient in the swing bed unit for 36 days. I highly recommend this facility. I would most definitely stay there again if the need arises. The staff all pulls together and truly cares about their patients. Thank you all in every department for making my stay safe and well cared for.”
