New Nurse Practitioner at Madelia Health
Madelia, Minn. – Madelia Health is excited to announce that Jennifer McLaughlin, MSN, APRN, FNP-C, has joined our Madelia Health providers as a Nurse Practitioner after completing her education and certification. McLaughlin had been a valuable part of the Nursing Department as a Registered Nurse in the Madelia Health Hospital for over 20 year. She was the Director of Nursing, OR/ER Supervisor, Trauma Program Manager and the Stroke Program Manager. As a Nurse Practitioner, McLaughlin will now coordinate the Surgical Service Provider schedules, assist in surgeries, and see patients in the Hospital, Emergency Department and in the Clinic.
McLaughlin graduated from Madelia High School and attended South Central College where she earned her Associate of Applied Science degree in Nursing. While working as an RN, she then took online courses through Western Governors University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nurse Leadership/Management. She has continued her training through Graceland University in Lamoni, Iowa and now has Post Master’s Nurse Educator and Family Nurse Practitioner certificates. As a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, she can care for patients of all ages at Madelia Health.
McLaughlin has been transitioning into her new role over the past several months. “I have worked at Madelia Health for over 20 years as a nurse, and I am excited to continue serving the community as a provider,” said McLaughlin.
McLaughlin lives in Madelia with her family. She loves spending time with her family and dog at the lake.
