New Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner at Madelia Health
Madelia, Minn. – Madelia Health announces the addition of Rebecca Moore to their Clinic Team in Madelia. Moore is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP), and also has a Master’s Degree in community counseling.
A PMHNP is responsible for diagnosing mental illness, interpreting data and facilitating treatment planning, including prescribing medication when needed. Moore assesses, diagnoses, and provides mental health care to clients from kindergarten-age through adult. She has a passion for combining psychiatric medication management with psychotherapy because this holistic approach has led to powerful healing in the lives of her patients.
Moore earned her Master’s degree in nursing from St. Scholastica in Duluth. She also has Bachelor’s degrees in nursing, psychology and speech communications, and a Master’s degree in community counseling from Minnesota State University, Mankato. She was born and raised in Mankato, but has been living in Madelia with her family since 2001.
For the past seven years, Moore has been working at Mankato Mental Health Associates, PA. She also has 25 years of experience working in area non-profits, hospital systems, and county organizations. Moore is overjoyed at the opportunity to bring her mental health skills to this rural setting that she lives in. She loves to bring a smile to people’s faces with humor and a lighthearted spirit!
