The Madelia Community Hospital & Clinic (MCHC) is expanding their physical therapy hours from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, offering patients the opportunity to seek treatment before school or work. In addition, they have added a fourth licensed physical therapist. Michael Doering joins fellow licensed physical therapists Jamie Hitchcock, Jim Hitchcock, and Sarah Lannon and physical therapy assistant, Cassie Woodward.

Doering (pronounced Deering) earned his doctorate in physical therapy from the University of Iowa, and his bachelor’s degree in Spanish and medical biology from the University of South Dakota. He grew up in Good Thunder, and is a graduate of Maple River High School. His areas of professional interest include pediatrics, developmental disabilities, neurological rehabilitation including stroke and spinal cord injuries, and orthopedics. Doering likes travelling and outdoor activities. He will be getting married in June.

MCHC offers physical therapy in Madelia, and also at the Lake Crystal Area Recreation Center. Call 507.642.5211 for an appointment at either location..
