Madelia Health Foundation Scholarship Recipients
Madelia, Minn. – The Madelia Health (MH) Foundation awarded four scholarships to area students who are pursuing degrees in health care. As these deserving students further their educations at colleges and universities, we hope these scholarships will inspire and encourage them to dedicate their lives to helping others. All MH Foundation scholarships are renewable, providing multi-year support to area students.
The Pam Masters Nursing Scholarship has been awarded to Olivia Christensen. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded each year to an area student or individual who is interested in pursuing education or advanced education in nursing. Funding for the scholarship was provided by a donation to the Madelia Health Foundation from Pam and Michael Masters. Olivia is a graduate of Minnesota Valley Lutheran High School and is attending Wisconsin Lutheran College studying Nursing.
The Yoshiko Masters Scholarship has been awarded to Nevaeh Tracy. This $1,000 scholarship is awarded each year to an area student who is interested in pursuing education or training in radiology or laboratory science. Funding for the scholarship was provided by a donation to the Madelia Health Foundation from Pam and Michael Masters, in memory of Yoshiko Masters, a former Madelia Health laboratory employee. Nevaeh is a graduate of Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School and is attending South Central College studying to be a Medical Lab Technician.
The MH Foundation Healthcare Scholarship for Madelia High School was awarded to Alycia Bracken. Bracken is attending Lake Area Technical College studying Human Service Academics. This $500 scholarship is awarded each year to a Madelia High School student who is pursuing a career in health care.
The MH Foundation Healthcare Scholarship for Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial was awarded to Samantha Driscoll. She is attending Winona State University pursuing her Nursing degree. This $500 scholarship is awarded each year to a Lake Crystal Wellcome Memorial High School student who is pursuing a career in health care.
Madelia Health Foundation scholarships are made possible through generous donations from the community and faithful MH supporters. The scholarships are offered annually to demonstrate our commitment to local health care and to our youth.
